RIO 2016: Canada poised for strong showing in Day 2 of the Rio Games

Following a busy day one, Team Canada hopes to keep the ball rolling with a number of events on Sunday.

Here are some sports to watch in Day 2 of Rio 2016.

ROWING: Canada is scheduled to be in five of the planned 10 races at Lagoa Stadium in the Copacabana zone. A strong showing will lead to opportunities for medals. (7:30 a.m. ET)

WOMEN’S RUGBY: Canada faces off against Great Britain. The two squads are currently tied for the lead in round robin play. (11:30 a.m. ET)
