Vancouver “drunk” baby passport photo becomes internet hit

As you likely know, you are not allowed to smile in your passport photo. There appears to be no rules, however, against appearing a bit tipsy.

Vancouver’s Jorge Churano created a viral hit after posting a passport photo of his bleary-eyed five-month-old son to the social news website Reddit.

“My wife took our 5 month old son to get his first passport photos taken — NAILED IT!” Churano wrote.

Reddit users quickly embraced the pic, joking that the baby looked drunk. Users created photoshopped versions of the shot; one shows the baby posing for a mugshot while another has the toddler partying with ’70s-era Led Zeppelin.

In the original Reddit thread, Churano points out that the photo is not his child’s actual passport photo, but an outtake.

The passport photo has more than than 600,000 views and has been featured in the Daily Mail.
