Interactive map: Toronto’s motorcycle death traps

Motorcycle fatalities on roads patrolled by Toronto Police are higher in 2012 than last year.

According to statistics provided by Toronto Police, there have been five motorcycle fatalities so far this year. There were only two fatalities in all of 2011, and there are still three and a half months left in this year.

These statistics only include roads patrolled by Toronto Police. 400-series highways are patrolled by the OPP, so crashes on the 401 and 427 highways do not appear in this data.
