Cooler temperatures, little wind and rain have helped firefighters to get the upper hand on the Trepanier wildfire burning near Peachland.
The fire is now about 200 hectares in size and is 85 percent contained.

258 people remain on evacuation order.
Those who have been able to return home are still on evacuation alert.
Officials say before everyone is allowed back to their homes, there’s a lot of assessment that needs to be done to make sure power poles aren’t on the verge of toppling or that gas and water lines haven’t been damaged.
