Winnipegger Nolan Patrick is pegged to be one of the top picks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

The Brandon Wheat Kings centre highlights the NHL Central Scouting Futures List which was released on Saturday. The catalog consists of 290 players who will be watched closely by league scouts heading into the upcoming season.
Patrick had 41 goals and 61 assists in 72 regular season games with the Wheat Kings last year. He was also named the most valuable player of the WHL playoffs after scoring 30 points in 21 games to help Brandon win the league championship.

The 2017 NHL Entry Draft will be held in Chicago on June 23-24.
