He was rushed to hospital with serious upper body injuries.
As of Saturday afternoon, the victim remained hospitalized but was in stable condition.
According to police, the incident stems from a collision between two vehicles on Highway 25 North.
They say, after the collision, an argument broke out when the two vehicles came to a stop in a parking lot on des Seigneurs Boulevard.
That’s when police said the suspect attacked the victim, hitting him with a sharp object.

The suspect will appear in Saint-Jérôme court Monday, where he faces several charges including attempted murder.
