UPDATE: The missing child has been found safe and sound.

The search is on for a 12-year-old boy in Surrey this morning.
He was last seen in the 6700-block of 148 Avenue at approximately noon on Thursday.
Police say after an argument with his parents, the boy left the home upset. They thought he went to his friends’s house but when he failed to return home, they went out searching for him and then called the police.
The youth was born in Kenya and is approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, with a stout build, short black hair and black eyes.
He was last seen wearing a grey T-shirt, grey jeans, black Jordan high-top runners and possibly a baseball cap and an Anorak jacket.
He may also have a skateboard with him as it was not at his home.
Surrey RCMP is asking that anyone who may have seen him, or know of his whereabouts to call them at 604-599-0502 or to call Crime Stoppers.
