A Dallas man knows his injuries could have been a lot worse after he flew off the side of a water slide and down a rocky hill last weekend.
“I could have easily broken my neck or my back and this could have been way worse,” said David Salmon of his freak accident.
Salmon and his friends were taking turns on the private slide in the backyard of their vacation rental home when he found himself airborne before crash landing on rough terrain.

“I’d gone down a few times and it was fast,” he told Fox4. “But this time, I just couldn’t slow down, even threw my arm out, and went right over the edge.”
Salmon suffered a broken arm, fractured ribs and scrapes and bruises on his back.
“After I fell, I was sitting straight up, like, ‘Oh! I can stand up. I can be fine.’ Then my body just couldn’t do anything. It was excruciating,” he said.

Paramedics rescued Salmon, taking him to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
“Just found out I don’t need surgery so that’s good news!” he wrote on Facebook Monday morning.
Salmon said he only posted the video so that his friends “could have a laugh” and know he was all right.
“I’m not one of those people who loves attention. So I don’t want to be famous because of this freak accident.”
The clip has racked up over 2 million views in just a few days.
