Fans line up to honour ‘Dancing Gabe’ at Winnipeg Goldeyes game

WINNIPEG — Winnipeg’s very own ‘Dancing Gabe’ was honoured with a bobblehead in his likeness at Wednesday’s Goldeyes game.

The first 1,000 fans at the game received a bobblehead before the Goldeyes take on the Sioux City Explorers.

Gabriel ‘Dancing Gabe’ Langlois has been a supporter of local sports teams for more than 30 years. He can regularly be seen at Winnipeg Jets, Manitoba Moose, Winnipeg Blue Bomber and Winnipeg Goldeyes games dancing along to the music between plays.

“I know that all of our brothers and our sister are so proud of Gabe and his accomplishments throughout the years,” said Mike Langlois, Gabe’s oldest brother on the Winnipeg Goldeyes website.

A book was recently released on him and the impact he has had on the city. He was also honoured with the Community Service Award by Mayor Brian Bowman in 2015.
