RCMP are reporting that COG was pretty tame this year

Kelowna RCMP are reporting no significant events during this past weekend’s Center of Gravity.

Enforcement was enhanced for the weekend event with members of the B.C. Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit and the Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams brought in.

Plain clothes officers did target drug trafficking offences and several arrests were made.

Police say in one case, officers saw a suspected drug dealer enter a port-a-potty on site with suspected buyers.  He was arrested on the way out of the toilet and the 28-year-old Kelowna man was found in possession of nearly 20 grams of what police believe is MDMA.
