Thunder, hail, and heavy rain pummeled many Calgary neighbourhoods late Saturday afternoon.
Video sent in from Global Calgary viewers showed water flooding streets along Nolan Hill Boulevard northwest of the city.
Heavy rain and hail blanketed front lawns.
Several weather warnings were issued for areas in Alberta, including Lethbridge, Taber and Milk River.
Global weather anchor Suzy Burge said Environment Canada dropped the warning for the City of Calgary and areas along the QE2 corridor at around 6 p.m.
Other areas of the city and province were still under a severe thunderstorm warning at 6:30 p.m., including Medicine Hat, Bow Island, Suffield, Brooks, Strathmore, Vulcan, Drumheller and Three Hills.
Environment Canada said they were tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, up to nickel size hail and heavy rain.
This thunderstorm is located 10 km West of Brooks and is moving East at 30 km/h.
An area of thunderstorms also developed over the Alberta foothills in the afternoon.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles.
Environment Canada wants to remind people that severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.
“Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors.”
“Heavy downpours can really make a big difference, 50 millimeters of rain can fall in moments it seems, that’s why we get that kind of flooding,” Burge said.
