A 45-minute drive south to the town of Nanton will ensure you're
one of the first to see the Olympic torch en route to Calgary. The
torch is set to arrive there at 11:30 a.m., and spectators are
invited to gather outside the Lancaster Museum. At 12:17 p.m., the
town of High River will welcome the torch in a community celebration
at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex that includes performances
by Melanie Laine and Juno Award winner George Canyon. When the torch
arrives at 2 p.m. in the town of Okotoks, local organizers are
encouraging people to turn out in the colour red to greet the
runners.
