Joseph Cameron homicide: 17-year-old faces first-degree murder charge

Halifax police have laid a murder charge in the shooting death of Joseph Cameron.

Cameron was shot dead in the early morning hours of March 29. His body was found lying on the sidewalk in the area of Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road in Dartmouth.

A 17-year-old man was arrested Thursday in London Ontario with the help of the London Police Service. He has been charged with first-degree murder.

The young man is in custody in London and will eventually be brought to Nova Scotia to appear in Halifax provincial court.

No date has been set for his court appearance.
