Saskatoon police dog tracks down man who fled from a 2-vehicle crash

A man is facing charges after fleeing from a two-vehicle collision in Saskatoon.

The crash happened Tuesday just before 7 a.m. CT at the intersection of Clarence Avenue and 11th Street East.

According to police, an eastbound vehicle on 11th Street ran a stop sign and collided with a northbound vehicle on Clarence.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle then fled on foot.

A police dog tracked down the 30-year-old Saskatoon man several blocks from the crash.

He is facing several criminal charges including failing to remain at the scene of an accident and dangerous driving.

The driver of the northbound vehicle was checked by paramedics but did not need further medical treatment.

Police say the eastbound driver suffered an injury to his foot.
