A Surrey family is pleading for help from the public after someone stole their van, which contained equipment used by their eight-year old disabled son.
Among the stolen items are a new walker, a special tricycle and a wheelchair that was specially made for Bryan, who suffers from cerebral palsy.
“He depends on this equipment,” father Kevin Downey said. “He has no life without it, really. I don’t know what to do right now.”
The van was stolen from the driveway of the family’s Surrey home early Sunday morning.
On Tuesday, Variety announced they will be replacing Bryan’s adaptable tricycle and they have also topped up what the family received from government funding to get them a custom-fit power wheelchair, which is on order and will be ready soon.
