RCMP are investigating after a body was found near a Prince George Mall on Sunday.
The body was spotted in a wooded area off the Massey exit to Highway 97 near the Pine Centre Mall at 10:50 a.m.
RCMP had previously received a report of a man being assaulted near that location and had gone to check it out.

The city detachment’s Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Section have been called in to assist and will be working alongside the coroner. Police say, at this time, this is no direct link to the Highway and there are no concerns about ongoing public safety.
The man has not been identified at this time.
