A woman is facing charges after a luxury SUV suddenly drove onto a sidewalk near Toronto’s Rogers Centre, killing a vendor and injuring another woman.
Police said the 48-year-old woman, whose name was not released, is charged with careless driving and unsafely changing lanes in connection with the June 14 crash at Bremner Boulevard near Spadina Avenue.

A 38-year-old woman inside the tented marketplace was pronounced dead on the scene after the Mercedes SUV mounted the curb and pinned her. Her 35-year-old sister suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Police at the time said the SUV was making a lane change before it drove onto the sidewalk.
The accused is due in court on September 1.
