What is the Challenge Family?

The Challenge Family is a long distance triathlon. It will consist of a 3.8 km swim, 180 km cycle and 42.2 km run.

The race in the South Okanagan will take place August 25, 2013.

The Penticton race will be the first Challenge race in North America. Other races are taking place in New Zealand, France and Denmark.

What is the Ironman competition?

The Penticton Ironman is the oldest Ironman race in continental North America and the biggest sporting event in the South Okanagan. The race takes place this Sunday.

There are 50 slots available for the 2012 Ironman World Championship at the Penticton event.

The event generates upwards of $10 million a year for Penticton.
