Trains suspended on Kitchener Line, UP Express after fatality

One track on the GO transit Kitchener line is running after it was suspended due to a fatality on the track Tuesday morning.

Officials said that a train struck someone on the track just east of the Weston GO station around 7:10 a.m.

No details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the death have been released.

Busses are running from Union to Pearson instead of the train, and passengers on the GO train were asked to use other GO transit services instead.
