Saskatoon police were kept busy during the weekend dealing with more calls than usual over a typical weekend.
Police officials say they responded to almost 1,000 crime and request for assistance calls compared to the 900 they normally receive.

The busiest was the central division, with approximately 360 calls, including one for a stolen vehicle.
Officers spotted the vehicle Monday at around 2:30 a.m. CT on Bedford Road.
The driver initially stopped but then sped off when officers approached the vehicle, eventually heading west on 22nd Street.
Officers caught up to the vehicle two kilometres west of the city where it had crashed into a power pole.
A police dog tracked down two youth, 14 and 16, who are facing a number of charges. Police continue to search for a third person.

The east division reported 340 calls, including nine reports of break ins to garages, sheds and underground parkades.
In an unrelated matter, two men were also arrested after items were stolen from a number of vehicles along Saskatchewan Crescent and Grosvenor Avenue.
Just under 300 calls were received in the north west division.
Among those was a stolen vehicle officers spotted running a stop sign.
Two men and two women are facing possession of stolen property, obstruction and breach of probation charges.
