Pilot dead after ultralight plane crashes near Lloydminster

Two investigators with the Transportation Safety Board are on their way to the site of a fatal plane crash in west-central Saskatchewan. 

R-C-M-P say the pilot was killed while he was practising takeoffs and landings in an ultralight on his property north of Lloydminster.

It happened Sunday and police say the man had just recently taken delivery of the ultralight. 

Police say the man was an experienced pilot, but had no previous experience flying that type of aircraft.
