MONTREAL – The Former cardiologist who stabbed his two children to death, Guy Turcotte, was reportedly attacked in jail where he is serving a life sentence.

Poirier said Turcotte was slightly injured, however he was still sent to the infirmary.
He said Turcotte refused to place a complaint against his attackers.
The attack happened within 24 hours of his transfer to the maximum-security facility, where Luka Rocco Magnotta is also serving his sentence.
Inmates reportedly told Turcotte not to eat with the other prisoners, advice he then ignored, which set off a powder keg.

In May, Turcotte’s lawyers tried to prevent him from being transferred from the Saint-Anne-Des-Plaines facility to Port-Cartier, near Sept-Iles.
The former doctor was convicted in January for killing his two children, five-year-old Olivier and three-year-old Anne-Sophie, back in 2009.
