Child in hospital after being pulled from a pool

TORONTO – A 6-year-old boy was taken to hospital after he was pulled from a school pool Thursday afternoon.

The child was found without vital signs in a pool at Vaughan Road Academy near Vaughan Rd. and Oakwood Ave. at 2:20 p.m.

Police say the boy was revived with the help of a camp councillor and a lifeguard.

EMS rushed the child to SickKids Hospital and is reported to be conscious and breathing.

Toronto Police are investigating the incident.
