RCMP are asking for witnesses to come forward after a man was rushed to hospital following a shooting in Red Deer late Wednesday afternoon.
Mounties said officers were called to Kerry Wood Mews at around 5:30 p.m.
The victim was taken to hospital in Calgary where he remains in critical condition.
On Thursday, police said the shooting was not random and that the public is not at risk.
RCMP are looking to speak with anyone who was in the neighbourhood of Riverside Meadows near Kerry Wood Mews at the time of the shooting. Also, if anyone heard or saw anything related to the shooting or has information on a suspect, they’re asked to call the Red Deer RCMP detachment at 403.343.5575.
