The 17-year-old driver of the westbound vehicle and his eight-year-old passenger were treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
Both drivers involved were ticketed because they only held learner’s licences and were unaccompanied by a licensed driver.
The 34-year-old man who was driving the northbound vehicle was charged for failing to stop for a red traffic signal.
Traffic in the area was impacted for a short time but was flowing normally at the intersection by around 2:10 p.m. Sunday.
