“The two-storey home was fully engulfed in flames,” said Lumby fire chief Tony Clayton.
A neighbour tells Global Okanagan two people were inside the home when the fire started but fire crews confirm everyone got out safely.
A family of five called the house home and had just put it up for sale a day earlier.
The cause is still under investigation, but it’s not believed to be suspicious.
