Kelowna Mountain says it plans on re-opening July 1. Global Okanagan

KELOWNA — Mark Consiglio’s lawyer says his client has no intention of selling Kelowna Mountain.

The owner of the controversial development had until June 9 to pay more than $4 million owed to a group of investors dealing with one of three parcels of land on the 640 acre property.

In Kelowna court this week, Consiglio was granted a six month reprieve to pay the money owed. The new deadline is September 30th.

Consiglio’s lawyer, Reinhard Burke, says the land will not be sold.

“He has a plan for the development that will be going forward,” says Burke.

He says Consiglio will raise the money through another development he’s working on in Vancouver.

The mortgages for the three parcels of land encompassing Kelowna Mountain went into foreclosure after Consiglio stopped making monthly payments of $50,000.
