UPDATE: 4 charged after missing man’s remains found near Rosthern, Sask. in 2016
Saskatchewan RCMP say the human remains found last week have been identified as those of a missing Prince Albert man.
Police confirmed that Gilbert McCallum’s death was a result of foul play following an autopsy Wednesday at Saskatoon City Hospital.

The cause of death has not been released.

The human remains were discovered around five kilometres east of Rosthern on June 3 by a local resident tending to his field near Highway 312.
McCallum, 21, was the subject of a missing persons investigation by the Prince Albert Police Service. They had said he was last seen in the city on April 15.
An investigation is ongoing.
