Jessica Wood grew up in Riverdale, so she is used to picturesque views of Edmonton’s river valley. But lately she’s taking in the ribbon of green, along with the cityscape, from new heights.

Wood has been working up to 34 storeys above the ground caulking expansion joints on the west side of the Telus Plaza South building.

“Born and raised in the river valley, I’m used to the ground-level view but now I am enjoying photographing the city’s beauty from a unique perspective that not many have the chance to see,” Wood wrote in an email to Global News.

“The view changes every day as spring turns to summer.”

Wood said her crew has finished the work but she has a new appreciation for the cityscape, particularly the river valley.

“It’s been very humbling to experience its beauty from a perspective not many have or will witness in their lives.”
