WINNIPEG — If you plan on walking, biking or roller blading to work Wednesday, you could be rewarded with a delicious treat.

It’s Clean Air Day and active commuters are being celebrated with free coffee and cinnamon buns at the north side of the Osborne Street Bridge. The free treats will be handed out until 9 a.m.

“We are trying to shed light on the daily choices we can make to help our environment, our community and our health,” said commuter challenge coordinator, Christey Allen. “And then sugar coating those choices with cinnamon buns and coffee.”

The event is part of a week long commuter challenge during environment week in Canada.
