Tyler Hurd charged with murder in Saskatoon’s 7th homicide of 2016

Saskatoon police have charged Tyler Hurd with first-degree murder in the death of Cynthia Crampton.

Crampton, 55, was found dead Friday afternoon in her home in the 400-block of Galloway Road in the city’s Stonebridge neighbourhood.

Hurd, 33, was arrested late Sunday near Biggar along with Tammy Poffley.

Poffley, 52, has been charged with accessory to murder.

Both were wanted by police on outstanding warrants on other matters.

Hurd made his first appearance Tuesday morning in Saskatoon provincial court.

Poffley is scheduled to make her first court appearance on Tuesday afternoon.
