SALMON ARM — RCMP in Salmon Arm are looking for information that might lead to the arrest of vandals who targeted two high school campuses.
They say vandals pulled plants from their planters in front of the Jackson campus of Salmon Arm Secondary school and strewn them about.
“Another more dangerous act had culprit(s) pull a chain link gate from its hinge pins at the sports field and throw it on the street adjacent to the property near the hospital,” says Sgt. Scott West.
“Thankfully there no damage to passing vehicles or collisions caused by the gate being thrown into the street.”
The incident was reported early Monday morning.
On June 4, vandals spay painted graffiti on the Sullivan Campus of the local secondary school.
“An unknown culprit or Culprits had spray painted vulgar graffiti on the windows and walls of the school outside,” says West.
He says police have no evidence to suggest that the two incidents are related.
