Motorists are being warned to avoid the Don Valley Parkway and the Gardiner Expressway this weekend for the annual Becel Heart and Stroke Ride for Heart cycling event.
The City of Toronto says the Gardiner will be closed between Carlaw Avenue and the Humber Bridge, and the DVP will be closed between Highway 401 and the Gardiner from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the eastbound collector lanes of the Gardiner in the area of the Dowling Avenue Bridge will be closed starting at 12:01 a.m. Sunday as crews prepare for work on the installation of a temporary bridge at Dowling Avenue.
Drivers are being advised to take Lake Shore Boulevard as an alternative route.
Alternative routes to use instead of the Don Valley Parkway are Leslie Street, Don Mills Road and Victoria Park Avenue.
