REGINA – The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority is warning Saskatchewan residents about an apparent phone scam where the caller falsely presents themselves as a representative of Premier Brad Wall.
An elderly woman called the province yesterday saying she received a phone message from a man claiming to be phoning on behalf of Mr. Brad Wall. The message she received further stated that they received some “important documents at the government office.”
When the woman returned the phone call she was asked her for personal information, at which point she hung up.

The caller was using a phone number with an area code from Jamaica.
The Premier’s office has confirmed that no one from the office is calling people looking for financial information.
