On Friday, the police board will get a chance to go over the service’s quarterly budget and hear from representatives.

“There are a number of building related issues, that are starting to accumulate dollar wise, and could be significant by the end of the year,” reads one line in the 13-page report.

The report is already online and states there are a number of repairs with escalating costs that must be done.

“Some bigger issues, that were identified prior to the move, still exist and need to be addressed,” states the report. “There have been a number of issues that have generated expenses that were not anticipated.”

The service said they will be focusing on the ones that need to be done for safety reasons as officers continue to move into the new building.

These repairs are in addition to the ones that were being done to fix damages from the 2014 rainstorm which flooded the building.

Officers started moving in at the end of 2015, a date that was delayed by at least a year.

The project is more than $75 million over and the subject of an ongoing RCMP investigation.

RCMP documents allege Caspian Construction falsified and inflated invoices related to the building. These allegations have not been proven in court.
