One year anniversary of Carol King’s disappearance

It’s been exactly one year since 40-year-old Carol King went missing on August 6, 2011 and her death still remains a mystery.

To this day police have continued to investigate looking for clues across the country.

Originally from Mattis Point, Newfoundland, King went missing from her Herschel area home on August 6, 2011. Her car was found in a slough about one kilometre from her residence.

A volunteer searcher from Saskatoon found King’s body on a rural property north of Herschel on August 27th, near her recovered vehicle.

Police have questioned people from Alberta to Newfoundland.

“It has gone from a missing person file, to a recovered body to homicide now. It’s been a very labour intensive investigation. We have had over 40 to 60 police officers touch it in one way or another,” said RCMP Cpl. Rob King.
