Service N.B. to accept applications for new Fort McMurray wildfire relief fund

The New Brunswick government is helping Alberta in its efforts to provide financial aid to evacuated Fort McMurray residents.

Service New Brunswick says it will accept applications from residents in the province applying for a new program — the Fort McMurray Wildfire Relief Funding for Evacuees Outside of Alberta — announced by the Alberta government Tuesday.

New Brunswickers who may be eligible can visit locations across the province for help in processing applications for the fund, which are being accepted starting today through June 15th.

The province says it wants to do as much as possible to assist New Brunswick families who’ve been affected by the Alberta wildfires.
