A rolling stone gathers no moss, or so they say. In this case, it seems to be true, considering Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood is 68 years old and a new father to twins.

His wife Sally, 30 years his junior at 38, gave birth to twin girls Gracie Jane and Alice Rose on Monday evening.

A statement released by Wood’s publicist said “The girls arrived on 30 May at 22:30 [10:30 p.m.] and all are doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect.”

These are the first children for Wood and his wife, but are his fifth and sixth children.

Wood’s four other kids — Jesse, 39; Leah, 37; Tyrone, 32; and Jamie, 41 — are much older, and the Rolling Stone was often on tour and didn’t have the time to dedicate to his children.

The four kids were raised between London, Los Angeles and New York, with nannies and boarding school filling the gaps while Wood and second wife, Jo, were allegedly partying.

Now married to Sally, Wood is completely and totally sober.

The two were married in 2012 at London’s Dorchester Hotel after six months of dating, and fellow musician Rod Stewart was Wood’s best man.
