A Winnipeg-based startup is quickly spreading across North America by delivering food from various restaurants right to your door.

CEO and co-founder Joshua Simair gave Global News Morning a behind-the-scenes look at how the business works.

“We started out because a lot of us were born in the prairies and we always thought why can’t we have food delivered to our door,” Simair said.

There is now a SkipTheDishes website and app that helps people order food from pre-screened restaurants and monitor via smartphone how fast the order will arrive.

“It saves people time… it helps support local businesses who wouldn’t normally do delivery,” Simair said.
