Bomber Brewing says that the new brew uses local ingredients to produce a premium beer.

Prairie Baard’s Golden Ale is brewed with 70 per cent Saskatchewan barley and 30 per cent Saskatchewan wheat, both of which are malted in Biggar, Sask.

“Growing up in the prairies – drinking a good beer at the end of a long day was part of our culture,” DeLaet said in a statement provided by Bomber Brewing.

“Working with our team on building a craft beer business has been a great experience,” DeLaet said. “From the recipe to the overall Prairie Baard brand, I wanted to create something that was true to my roots, and reflected the values of hard working Canadians everywhere.”

To officially launch Prairie Baard Golden Ale, DeLaet will be appearing at a kick-off event in Saskatoon next Wednesday, where consumers can taste the new brew and meet DeLaet and the team behind the beer.
