One of the men was able to flag down a passing boat for assistance.

Alberta Parks officials, as well as two private boat owners, helped transport emergency medical personnel and police to the scene.

Police say alcohol and speed were a factor in the collision.

The men were all from Pincher Creek, but police are not releasing their names.
