WINNIPEG — The Canadian Safe Boating Council is making sure we are safe on the water this May Long Weekend.
Thursday morning at 11:30 a.m. the council and Lifesaving Society of Manitoba will kick off safe boating awareness week at the Forks.
The Victoria Day long weekend for many is the unofficial start to summer and the goal of the week is to decrease the number of boating fatalities and educating the public before boating season begins.
