WINNIPEG — A man was shot in the city’s West End Thursday night and police are continuing to investigate.
Around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to the 600 block of Wellington Avenue for reports of a shooting.

Police are now investigating this incident as a homicide.
Winnipeg police’s homicide investigation unit is on scene Friday morning and the area has been blocked off.
No word at this time on the victim.
Police have not confirmed if there are any suspects or arrests in this case.
