TORONTO – The mystery is over. A man who has been seen in the mountains of Utah dressed like a goat, roaming among wild goats, has been identified.
Utah wildlife officials told the Associated Press that the so-called ‘Goat man’ is a 57-year-old hunter from southern California.
On July 20th, Phil Douglass of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources said a man was hiking through Wasatch mountain range when he spotted ‘goat man’. The hiker also provided blurry images of said man.

Although the man wasn’t doing anything illegal, Douglas said that he was more concerned for safety reasons.
“My very first concern is the person doesn’t understand the risks. Who’s to say what could happen.”
It turns out that ‘goat man’, who was actually wearing a hooded painter’s uniform, was preparing for an archery hunt and was testing a goat suit.
Once local media picked up on ‘goat man’, apparently so did social media.
