Senior on motorized medi-chair seriously hurt in crash with vehicle

SASKATOON – Police were called to a crash involving an elderly gentleman on a motorized medi-chair and a vehicle in Saskatoon. The collision happened at around 2:40 p.m. CT on Wednesday at Central Avenue and 109th Street.

Police say the senior was travelling eastbound across Central Avenue when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. He remains in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The collision analyst unit attended and completed their work at the scene of a collision.

Police say a 33-year-old woman has been charged with failing to yield.
