WINNIPEG — Smoke could be seen billowing from an East Kildonan home early Wednesday morning.
Winnipeg fire and paramedic crews were called to a blaze at a residence in the 200 block of Roberta around 2 a.m. Wednesday.
When crews arrived, heavy smoke and flames could be seen coming from the home. The fire started in the basement.
There are no reports of injuries and there are reports that the home was under renovations and the previous occupant moved out a week ago.

The house is a complete loss.
According to fire officials the basement of the home if full of water. No word at this time if arson is being considered.
Fire crews remain on scene.
