Emmy nominations announced for best actor in a television drama series

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The Primetime Emmy nominations for best actor in a television drama series have been announced in Los Angeles by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The nominees announced Thursday morning are: Steve Buscemi, “Boardwalk Empire”; Bryan Cranston, “Breaking Bad”; Michael C. Hall, “Dexter”; Hugh Bonneville, “Downton Abbey”; Damian Lewis, “Homeland”; and Jon Hamm, “Mad Men.”

The 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented Sept. 23 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and airing live on ABC.
