Fraser, a former captain of the Red Deer Rebels is a native of B.C. but said he couldn’t be happier to bring the cup to his new home.

“I came to central Alberta 11 years ago to play for the Rebels and never really left. I’m proud to call Sylvan Lake home now,” he said. Fraser went on to thank some famous brothers-Brent Sutter who coached him as a Rebel, and Darryl Sutter who coached the winning Kings team.

Thousands showed up for the festivities and their chance to get a picture with the cup and an autograph.
