KELOWNA, B.C. – Wrestlers from across Western Canada will join WWE Hall of Fame inductee Mick Foley this month to help raise money for charities that benefit Okanagan kids and families.

Foley has been known as Mankind, Dude Love and Cactus Jack during his professional wrestling career that began in 1991.

Invasion Championship Wrestling (ICW) will host two shows: May 6 in Kelowna at the Rutland Centennial Hall and May 8 in Vernon at the Recreation Centre.

“What they’re going to see is an unbelievable night of entertainment for a good cause,” ICW co-founder Mike Chisholm said at a press conference Monday.

“We have wrestlers from all across Canada,” Chisholm said of this weekend’s events. “Manitoba wrestlers are coming, Alberta wrestlers are coming, we’ve got wrestlers from the Lower Mainland and of course we have a handful of local wrestlers as well.”

Midget wrestling will hold a special championship match during the events, featuring Short Sleeve Sampson and Prince Hakeem.

Money raised over the weekend will be given to The Kelowna YCMA Strong Kids Program, The Okanagan Boys and Girls Club, The North Okanagan Neurological Association and Mamas for Mamas.

Each group was given $4,000 Monday.
