Breakfast Buzz: Would you get rid of your lawn to save water?

SASKATOON – As summer approaches, many have already started thinking about lawn care. But have you ever stopped to think about the amount of water it takes to keep your lawn plush and green?

A Regina man is going to extreme lengths to save water. He has cut himself off from the city’s water grid and relies completely on storm and store bought water.

He also doesn’t maintain a traditional lawn, which he says saves him a couple of hundred dollars every year.

With spring already off to a dry start, saving time and money in lawn maintenance and water may be appealing to some. Would you consider getting rid of your lawn to save water?
